| Summary: | The direction of the development of Ukrainian science on the basis of bibliometric analysis of the databases SciVers Scopus and Web of Science are outlined. Methods of scientific activity estimation are analized. The dynamics of publishing activity of Ukrainian scientists and the quantitative indicators of Ukrainian science contribution to the world one are explored. The efficiency of Ukrainian science, which is higher than the world average due to the exact sciences, is explained. It is indicated that effective information services should be based on knowledge of the main directions of science course. International abstract databases are considered. The significance of «Ukrayinika naukova» abstract database for scientometric investigations has been revealed. A proposal to use the abstract database «Ukrayinika naukova» for the organized entry of Ukrainian scientific publications into international databases is made.
