On the contrary, feeling of insecurity, in the form of dangers and threats, agitates the individual and, thus, the society. This article is an attempt to investigate the relationship between feeling of security and mental health and vice versa in the Holy Quran. It addresses the questions: Which factors generate feeling of security and, consequently, mental health? Which factors threaten them? The following hypotheses were developed accordingly: Remembrance of Allah in one s beliefs and behavior generates feeling of security and mental health while feeling of weakness, poverty and avoidance of Allah s remembrance all threaten them. This is a documentary research based on the Holy Quran, Qura nic exegeses and some books on psychology. The results indicate that those remembering Allah enjoy mental security, peace and health while those who fail to remember Him suffer from mental insecurity. Avoidance has two meanings in the Quran: Avoidance of the world and avoidance of Allah . Mankind would attain mental security, peace and health through avoidance of the world. http://rjqk.atu.ac.ir/article_5607_474ced45f3d83507c55dc5084b1b5bf4.pdfThe Quran; Mental Health; remembrance of A llah; avoidance of remembrance of Allah; feeling of loneliness
