Summary:This paper will approach the Inter-American system for protection of human rights and the convictions suffered by the Brazilian State, in order to answer the following problem: what are the repercussions of international condemnations for human rights violations suffered by Brazil in the domestic legal system? Its purpose is to analyze the context of convictions and, based on the determinations of the Inter-American Court, to evaluate the legislative measures and public policies developed due to the incorporation of such decisions into the domestic legal system. It is used a methodology of deductive approach, methods of monographic and historical procedure and research technique by indirect documentation.
