Description
Summary:The set of Intercultural Universities has been the subject of numerous analyzes and evaluations. This essay tries to offer a different approach. It tries to understand the idea of interculturality that can be developed and put into practice by students and teachers from different Intercultural Universities, regardless of the visions expressed in their guiding documents. It is, in this sense, a rather anthropological study. For this, we used semi-structured interviews with teachers from various intercultural universities and dialogues with groups of students, where they were able to express their point of view with greater freedom and spontaneity than in individual interviews, complemented with observations in the study centers. Although the present discussion focuses on intercultural universities, its scope aims to be broader, given that it tries to understand the process of intercultural implementation in higher education institutions, for which intercultural universities privileged cases.
