The purpose of comprehensive research is to test system approaches to the prognosis of age features of diabetes mellitus (DM) based on the method of united tabular analysis of morbidity and death rate. Materials and methods. Prognosis of DM prevalence was performed on materials of morbidity and mortality of population in the Chernivtsi region with the use of laws of survival of populations and maintenance of population health. Results. Information was obtained about the age features of DM, the new methodical approaches to the determination of correct prognosis of DM prevalence were tested. Conclusions. DM morbidity in men is mainly related to the social and ecological factors, among them, leading influence belongs to the lifestyle. The highest DM prevalence is observed in young age groups and in pre-retirement age that needs a revision of orientation and methodologies for realization of target preventive examinations, and also obligatory differentiation of DM types during registration of causes of population death.http://iej.zaslavsky.com.ua/article/view/142682diabetes mellitusprevalencesystem analysisprognosis
