Summary:The information on Mustafa Ayaz who is one of the prominent figures of the Contemporary Turkish Art is scattered and limited in the literature. He received 19 awards and opened nearly sixty exhibitions in Turkey and joined combined exhibitions and biannual activities in many countries like India, Kuwait, Egypt, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Belgium, France, USA, Britain, Algeria and Germany, also attracts attention with his museum established after his name. Mustafa Ayaz has established a museum in Ankara all with his own efforts and savings under the name of ‘Mustafa Ayaz Foundation, Museum of Plastic Arts.’ In this study, detailed information on his life, his artist identity and the museum he established has been given, and an up-to-date literary assessment has been performed in terms of history of art. The interview with the artist, museum registers and published works in literature have been used as resources.
