Scientists are not compatible what mental health represents, not even in terminology and definitions of stress, crisis and trauma. The fact they all agree is that if stress is present in longer period it brings to exhaustion and 'surrender' to stress. Using the introspection and non-experimental method in my experience, Iconfirm the General Adaptive Syndrome. Exhaustion is very rarely fatal and in most occasions, in the third part of GAS(the exhaustion), cession and personality collapse, becomes the beginning of new 'I'. This is possible only if stress is present in long-time period and if the vital functions are in danger. In that faze the survival psychology appears and it represents determination of biological minimum or basic needs (BIOSmodel). The focus changing appears after manifestation of defense. In that way the stress becomes the positive experience and it helps to expand and make the 'I' stronger. If the stress is understood and lived as a fight for keeping the homeostasis it will represent suffer to the person which is not capable to resist without the consequences.http://scindeks-clanci.ceon.rs/data/pdf/0354-3293/2009/0354-32930939467J.pdfstressspiritual healthpsychology of survival
