Forty species of birds were recorded breeding here. The birds of the campus included two species endemic to Western Ghats and 14 species listed under Schedule-I of the Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.http://threatenedtaxa.org/index.php/JoTT/article/view/1021
