Interferențe afro-europene.Diana Sfetlana STOICAThe purpose of this paper is to compare and criticize the concept of development at home (as a typical anti-migratory mindset revealed in some European contexts, whether nations, communities or only groups of citizens), with the concept of home for development (used from an African standpoint, as hosted in a postcolonial frame), in a still Eurocentric pattern of thought. Therefore, the concept of home is regarded through the lens of postcolonial paradigms and the central aim is to synthesize, from this comparative analysis, the points of intersection on different views on development (at the native home, or abroad, in the space of adoption), to align them to some perspectives on the notions of home, space, and community. The proposed qualitative analysis tries to highlight the political meanings of home, while deconstructing space and community. The importance of establishing links between views on the concept of home as root for development, lays in the possibility to advance more recent theoretical approaches that could shape the public discourse on the matter of the Other, especially in Hungary and Italy. https://revistapolis.ro/documente/revista/2019/Nr_4_26-2019/3.pdfhomedevelopmentspacecommunityvalue
