Summary: | Fridrikh Gorenshtein is considered one of the most prominent Russian prose writers of the 2nd half of the 20th century. His novella “House with Tower”, and the novels “Atonement”, “Place”,“Psalm”, and others are in focus. These works are analyzed in the context of the third wave emigrant’s literature and late Soviet literature. The article argues that Gorenshtein raised the most important issues of the spiritual and intellectual life in Russia in post-Soviet era. The Holocaust theme is one of the most important in his oeuvre. |
