The present balance of State geological survey of Ukraine registers about 20 thousands deposits and occurrences of 98 types of mineral resources. About 3 500 deposits and gas-oil fields are being processed now. About 2 000 mining, enriching and processing companies were situated within Ukraine; total utilization of mineral resources (MRs) was more then 20 tons/men/year. Different MRs were basement of the Ukrainian economy and about 43–48 % TNP were included of the raw resources. The importance of MRs in the development of modern technologies could be illustrated by such fact: about 3 tons of MRs are necessary for production of one modern computer with the total weight about 1,5 kg. Most of the developed (“old”) mine-extracting basins of Ukraine had crossed of so-called Hubbert’ peak (maximum of development) and are being in the stage of reducing the extraction and abandoning of mines and quarries. Investigations of Ukrainian State Geology Resource Institute and National academy of Ssiences of Ukraine are witnessing that ecological safety of mines and quarries abandoning demands of reliable evaluations of the geological environment assimilative potential as factor of the ecological, economical and social safety.https://mru-journal.com.ua/index.php/mru/article/view/144assimilative potentialmining-extractive districtgeological environmentecological safetydangerous exogenic geological processesmineral resources
