Summary: | The paper evaluates present-day retail market electricity rates in Russia from the standpoint of demand response i.e., how they motivate the customers to reduce demand during critical peak periods. For that purpose, the daily payments of different types of customers in RF regions are analyzed. It is shown that not all the retail market rates now in force stimulate the reduction of peak loads. A theoretical game model is proposed for the formation of electrycity rates for different types of consumers that incentivizes the demand response.. |
