Description
Summary:Tuberous  roots  of  sweet  potato,  belonging  to  clone  CEMSA  78-354,  coming  from  banks  of  seeds  and  collected, keeping  in  mind  their  sanity  and  uniformity  in  the  size,  were  used.  They  were  transferred  to  laboratory  under semicontrolled conditions and placed in glass flasks with 300 mg.l -1  of tap water (control treatment) and in flasks with the some volume of water and different pectimorf concentration (5, 10, 15 and 0 mg.l -1 ). At different time the following indicators: number of sprouts per tuber, length of sprouts and number of buds per sprouts. Evaluated indicators were achieved with the use of 15 mg.l -1  Pectimorf overcoming those reached by the control treatment. Key words: buds,  Pectimorf, sprouts, sweet potato
