The study involved 54 P.E. teachers of two Kazan universities, aged from 25 to 67 years. The following techniques were used: Exploring Meaning Levels of Personality in Teachers by M.N. Mironova and Life Meaning Orientations Test by D.A. Leontyev. Both groups of teachers displayed high scores on the scale of “Acceptance of spiritual values of students”. The teachers show great potential to educate students and are willing to assist them in the development of their abilities. Almost 70% of the P.E. teachers demonstrated high levels of professional competence. Basing on the outcomes of the study the authors developed an advanced training programme for P.E. teachers in Innovative Technologies in Physical Education (18, 24, 36 and 72 academic hours) as well as a programme called “Selections from Physical Education” implemented at the faculty of life-long education for students of various specialist areas.http://psyedu.ru/eng/journal/2017/2/Lifanov.phtmlmeaning formationsteacherphysical educationlife-long learning
