Summary: | <p><strong>RESUMO:</strong><br /><br />Este artigo é uma análise das leituras produzidas por alunos do 3º ano do Ensino Médio, no que se refere à forma como eles constroem inferências para a compreensão das crônicas “O melhor dos mundos”, de Danuza Leão, e “Patético”, de Luiz Felipe Pondé. A leitura é um processo cognitivo complexo que abarca diferentes tipos de conhecimento do leitor. Esses conhecimentos são fundamentais para a construção de inferências e, consequentemente, para a construção de sentidos exigida ao se ler um texto. Assim, dispusemo-nos a analisar as leituras feitas por esses alunos, embasadas em estudos teóricos realizados por importantes autores da área de Linguística Textual, tais como Bronckart, Marcuschi, Bakhtin, Kleiman, Ducrot e outros.<br /><br /><strong>PALAVRAS-CHAVE: </strong>língua; texto; discurso; gênero textual; crônica; leitura; conhecimentos prévios; inferências.<br /><br /><span id="result_box" lang="en"><strong><span class="hps">ABSTRACT:</span></strong></span></p><p><span id="result_box" lang="en"><strong></strong><span class="hps">This article is</span> <span class="hps">an analysis of the</span> <span class="hps">readings produced</span> <span class="hps">by students of the</span> <span class="hps">3rd year</span> <span class="hps">of high school,</span> <span class="hps">with regard</span> <span class="hps">to how</span> <span class="hps">they build</span> <span class="hps">inferences</span> <span class="hps">to understand the</span> <span class="hps">chronic</span> <span class="hps atn">"</span><span>The</span> <span class="hps">best of all worlds</span><span>"</span> <span class="hps">of</span> <span class="hps">Danuza</span> <span class="hps">Lion,</span> <span class="hps">and</span> <span class="hps">"Pathetic</span><span>" by</span> <span class="hps">Luiz</span> <span class="hps">Felipe</span> <span class="hps">Pondé</span><span>.</span> <span class="hps">Reading is</span> <span class="hps">a complex</span> <span class="hps">cognitive process</span> <span class="hps">that includes</span> <span class="hps">different types of</span> <span class="hps">reader's knowledge</span><span>.</span> <span class="hps">This knowledge is</span> <span class="hps">fundamental</span> <span class="hps">for the construction of</span> <span class="hps">inferences</span><span>, and consequently</span> <span class="hps">to build</span> <span class="hps">the</span> <span class="hps">required</span> <span class="hps">directions</span> <span class="hps">to read</span> <span class="hps">text.</span> <span class="hps">Thus,</span> <span class="hps">became willing to</span> <span class="hps">analyze</span> <span class="hps">the readings taken</span> <span class="hps">by</span> <span class="hps">these students</span><span>, supported</span> <span class="hps">on theoretical</span> <span class="hps">studies by</span> <span class="hps">important authors</span> <span class="hps">of Linguistics</span> <span class="hps">Textual</span> <span class="hps">area,</span> <span class="hps">such as</span> <span class="hps">Bronckart</span><span>,</span> <span class="hps">Marcuschi</span><span>,</span> <span class="hps">Bakhtin</span><span>,</span> <span class="hps">Kleiman</span><span>,</span> <span class="hps">Ducrot</span> <span class="hps">and others.</span><br /> </span></p><p><span id="result_box" lang="en"><strong><span class="hps">KEYWORDS</span>:</strong> <span class="hps">language;</span> <span class="hps">text;</span> <span class="hps">speech</span><span>;</span> <span class="hps">genre</span><span>;</span> <span class="hps">chronic</span><span>;</span> <span class="hps">reading;</span> <span class="hps">prior knowledge</span><span>;</span> <span class="hps">inferences.</span></span></p><p>Recebido:30/11/2011 Aceito: 30/12/2011</p>
