Summary: | The corporate image consists of evaluations of how institutions are perceived and recognized by their users. The institutional image, which is an outwardly reflected image of the institution, is formed and shaped in relation to the relationship with the institution's stakeholders. In this study, the institutional image of the university library, which plays a major role in the educational and research activities of the universities, is discussed. This study is important in determining the significance of institutional image elements and elements that are effective in the institutional image of university libraries. Furthermore, the study seeks to determine whether there is a relationship between the institutional image of the library and the use of the university library. Within the scope of the research, a structured questionnaire was applied to 400 undergraduate students studying at a public university, who were chosen according to the quota sampling method. In terms of the data obtained, it is seen that the participants most participated in the library vision and the library mission statement, which represent the infrastructure elements related to the institutional image. This is followed by the items representing abstract image, internal image and external image respectively. On the basis of the obtained data, it can be considered that the elements affecting the institutional image in the university libraries, which is a service institution, are interrelated and that they affect each other. It is also believed that there is a direct relationship between a positive institutional image of the library and the use of the library.
