Summary: | The article describes the experience of the clinical diagnostic practice for students of psychology. Structure, content and methods of organization of classes are considered from the standpoint of the competency approach underlying the modern educational process. In terms of methodology, clinical diagnostic practice appears as Assisted professional growth, assuming an active dive future psychologists in the area of clinical diagnostic activities. Particular attention is paid to the development of trainees the basic principles of the organization and conduct of clinical and psychological examinations, as well as reflective analysis students gain experience. Description of the logical succession of stages is accompanied by a characteristic typical practice difficulties encountered students at each stage, and how best to overcome these difficulties. Recommendations for supervisors from the faculty and the host institution to facilitate comprehension of experience and conscious form the students' competence in the field of clinical and diagnostic activities.
