Summary:Harvesting energy from the surrounding environment is an effective way to replenish energy in energy-constrained wireless networks. An energy-aware distributed relay selection algorithm(MHE) is proposed to improve the reliability of information transmission. Firstly, the algorithm compares the energy-constrained relay nodes′ energy to select cooperative relay. Then, the selected relay node forwards the amplified information with the energy harvesting from the source′s RF signal. Finally, the throughput of the system with proposed algorithm is gotten and it′s proved that the proposed selection protocols indeed can improve the system performances through theory. Simulation results have verified the analysis and theorems.
