| Summary: | How and by which mechanisms did the « indios chinos vinateros » reachtheir integration in the haciendas de palma de beneficio in the Colima colonial province (now located in western Mexico) during the Seventeenth Century ? In the first place, I analyze the social issues of these Asian immigrants, particularly their geographic origins, their localization in Colima, their legal status, and their labor as vinateros. In the second place, I explain the different kinds of mechanisms of their socio-economic integration in the colonial economy of the haciendas. |
