Instruments: scale of anxiety and depression – HAD, the six latest issues of Self Reporting Questionnaire-SRQ-20 the Whoqol-Bref, HIV and a Bio-Clinical and demographic Questionnaire. The data were analyzed from descriptive statistics. Results: there was higher prevalence of depression and anxiety associated with variables as low educational level and income. There was also a statistically significant and negative association between joining the ART with the symptoms of anxiety. Mild cognitive disorders were identified, how to: change in affection and humour, difficulty concentrating and others. It was found that the smaller the depression, anxiety and TCL, higher quality of life.http://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=28437897001
