Summary: | Objective: to investigate depression, anxiety and mild cognitive disorders in people with HIVAIDS, associated with the use of ART and quality of life. Sample: 561 people from 18 to 59 years with AIDS to the HIVAIDS met in reference services in the State of Paraíba, Brazil. Instruments: scale of anxiety and depression – HAD, the six latest issues of Self Reporting Questionnaire-SRQ-20 the Whoqol-Bref, HIV and a Bio-Clinical and demographic Questionnaire. The data were analyzed from descriptive statistics. Results: there was higher prevalence of depression and anxiety associated with variables as low educational level and income. There was also a statistically significant and negative association between joining the ART with the symptoms of anxiety. Mild cognitive disorders were identified, how to: change in affection and humour, difficulty concentrating and others. It was found that the smaller the depression, anxiety and TCL, higher quality of life.
