Summary:In western art, paintings which depicting to described in the Bible stories of Jesus' are important. The depicts is known these painting are made by many artists in different shapes and composition. The “Christ of St. John of the Cross” by Salvador Dali depicts Jesus Christ’s Crucifixion and Ascension to haven. Those two bible verves are the ones, where Jesus Christ was seen the last time. In this article, is analyzed according to Erwin Panofsky's iconographic and iconological art criticism. Thus, the research emphasizing on the commitment to the tradition of ignoring tradition.
