Throughout the study cultural codes and visible aspects of the landscape geography of the four municipalities involved in the research: São Lourenço do Sul, Canguçu, Pelotas and Arroio do Padre. In these municipalities, fieldwork was carried out and systematic observations were made, in addition to 20 interviews distributed in different locations in the region covered by the survey.
