| Summary: | This article addresses the place of play in the children’s and teenagers structured leisure activities in leisure centers, considering the representations of leisure from leisure activities leaders, children and teenagers. We conducted semi-directed interviews with 80 professionals, and 50 children and young people attending a leisure center during the day. Our results highlighted the complexity of the place of play and the necessity to take into account the issues linked to gender socialization of children and teenagers in the field of structured youth leisure activities. |
