Description
Summary:
The pragmatic solution of responding to more and more numerous complaints expressed by the citizens of the European states, brought to attention the necessity of some profound transformations, oriented towards the reconstruction of the trust of the citizens, particularly, and of society, as a whole, regarding the main democratic institutions, both at the European and the national levels. The topic developed in this article is centered on revealing the importance of this transformation, which implies actively supporting the government, meaning consolidating the capacity of solving problems and encouraging citizens to participate in the organization of the civil society. The fundamental problem, faced today by the structures at the different levels of governing, is to identify the modalities of conceptualizing, configuring and managing the flexible structures (network-like) that integrate public, private and non-profit policy-makers, in order to produce added value to society. From this angle, this strategic result-oriented approach represents an essential step forward, generating a better management of resources, more responsibility and offering the governing body the possibility to consolidate their efforts of horizontal coordination. With this study I tried to respond to the main challenges brought about by accepting these new paradigms, by highlighting the risks spawned by the lack of focusing on long term results.
