Summary: | The significance of using innovative technologies by means of mass communication in the process of developing preschool children’s aesthetic taste, moral norms and rules, creativity and expanding their outlook is revealed in the article. The author analyses contemporary researches on value orientations, spiritual values and different trends in their forming. It is also noted that preschool age is a period when a child starts learning surrounding world, socializes to live in a society, masters initial knowledge, skills, language, attached to the art values, nature beauty, human relationships, and what is more important he/she learns to rejoice, to empathize, to sympathize, to do good things, to enjoy discovering the world. That’s why mass media and educational computer technology are responsible for what kind of world view the young generation has.
Using mass media in the kindergarten is believed to be very prospective and to give an opportunity to promote children’s intellectual, aesthetic, moral, physical development.
The aim of the article is to analyse contemporary scientific approaches to the issue of developing senior preschool children’s value orientations by means of mass communication.
The author of the paper discloses the main features of mass media and characterizes their following types: television, radio, newspapers, magazines, and Internet resources.
The author emphasizes on the necessity of making children have an attitude to the computer as a helping hand, a means of transferring valuable information which can enrich the understanding of the physical world, acquire new knowledge, build children creative, moral and ethical behavior, make them ready for living in the society.
The special attention is paid to the problem of making the proper conditions for developing senior preschool children’s value orientations by means of information and communication technologies in educational process, taking into account their advantages and possible destructive influence on the health and child’s personality harmonious development.
