Although the disorder is conceptualized as being primarily biological, psychological treatment is also needed. Psycho diagnostic and anamnestic findings are used as a basis for treatment planning. With regard to the individual differences between children with hyperkinetic disorder, accurate assessment is crucial in order to meet the requirements for successful individualized treatment using different treatment options.
