Sah is Professor Emeritus at the MP Institute of Social Science Research, Ujjain. Earlier he has worked as Director (Research) at Samarthan, Bhopal; Professor and Director, at MP Institute of Social Science Research, Ujjain; Associate Professor at Centre for Social Studies, Surat, and at Gujarat Institute of Development Research, Ahmedabad; Executive (Planning) at National Dairy Development Board, Anand; and Research Associate at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. An economist, with specialization in Technology Transfer in Indian Agriculture, he has a long research and teaching experience. After completing his PhD from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, he has done extensive work on issues of agricultural development with specific reference to technology transfer, poverty, development, displacement and integrated cooperative output marketing. He has published several books and articles on agricultural technology transfer, rehabilitation of displaced persons, chronic poverty and vertically integrated output marketing email: Yogesh Kumar completed his PhD from the Giri Institute of Development Studies, Lucknow as an ICSSR Doctoral Fellow in Development Economics in 1990. He is the founder member and Executive Director of a leading NGO, Samarthan. Centre for Development Support. working in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. He has an experience of more than 25 years in the development sector and is a professional of international repute working on the issues of participatory governance and development. His work has also covered a wide variety of themes to strengthen the capacities and institutional mechanisms of voluntary development organizations, development management and training of trainers in participatory planning, monitoring and process documentation on development issues.
