For those who support the theoretical approach defending the integration of these standards in the international trade agenda, the focus is on the benefits of such a policy for economic growth and human development in developing countries. Whereas according to the perspective of the second theoretical approach, one condemns the protectionist motivations of the developed countries, who intend to deprive the developing countries of one of their better comparative advantages, a reduced cost of labour.
