Michelena's studies on Historical, Basque and Paleohispanic Linguistics, published in 35 articles and collected in his book Lengua e Historia (Paraninfo: Madrid 1985, 509 pp.).    In the first section there is a discussion of some matters concerning Historical Linguistics and the methods of reconstruction of protolanguages, along with an evaluation of Michelena's serious attemtps to formalise these methods (e.g. Laws of Phonetics: Function; Related Languages: Homomorphous Sets, and not Isomorphous Sets; etc.), and a commentary on the contribution of modern typological method to the reconstruction of protolanguages, using Indo-European and Caucasian examples.    In the sixth and last section, in the course of a discussion on certain essays dealing Pre-Roman languages and writings, it is suggested that the Lusitanian name for a divinity Lari Safio may derive from *s(w)ebh-io- in the sense of "pertaining to the family", with the subsequent acceptance of the change from *bh to f. There is also a suggestion that the genitive plural form of the items in Celtiberian ending in -a might be -am. In the field of Aquitanian antroponomy, a link is proposed between the suffix or element -io, present in Attaio-rig, with the historical element -ie in Basque anaie, according to the proportion Basque aita : Aquitanian Attaio-, as Aquitanian Hanna : Basque anaie. The genitive singular suffix -bi in Basque terms expressing family relationships, like neba, alaba, etc. https://ojs.ehu.eus/index.php/ASJU/article/view/7783
