Description
Summary:The educational activities developed in the extension project "Health Education in the Maternal and Child Health Area", at the Universidade Regional de Blumenau, SC, are directed for pregnant women and also for infants with special needs, from zero to three years. Among those with disabilities are babies with lysencephaly syndrome, which occurs between the 2nd and 4th fetal months, resulting in an incomplete development of the brain, resulting in a plain surface brain. The present report aims to share the approach of a baby with lisencephaly assisted in the project, emphasizing the promotion of health from an interdisciplinary perspective. In addition to the benefits for the development of the baby, which the interdisciplinary work can implement through the educational actions in health that empower the responsible ones in the form of care, we obtain, from this methodology of work, a reflexive and expanded formation in health for the professors and academics that participate in the project.
