Systematic search was done in two databases: Medline and Scopus. Cohort studies were selected as appropriate study design to answer a prognosis question. Two cohort studies are found to be</div><div>relevant with this report. Treatment failures upon standard regimen of TB therapy are 6.9% and &reg; 1.7% in both studies. Smoking habit has been demonstrated to increase the likelihood of treatment &nbsp;failure with OR 2.37 (95% CI: 1.24 &ndash; 4.54) and 7.489 (95% CI: 0.93 &ndash; 60.30). In conclusion,</div><div>treatment failure in standard TB therapy is small.
