| Summary: | The pace of changes in each level of the society functioning has been much increasing recently. Those changes are strongly influenced by the technology development which gives to its users more freedom in acting. The aim of this paper is to show the idea of the participatory culture in comparison to others types of culture and to discuss its influence on the development of new education. The role of the participatory culture in shaping the media literacy competences and the realization of media education concepts are also discussed in the article. |
