In the title compound, C7H5BrO3, the dihedral angle between the aromatic ring and the carboxylic acid group is 4.8 (4)°, and an intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bond closes an S(6) ring. In the crystal, carboxylic acid inversion dimers linked by pairs of O—H...O hydrogen bonds generate R22(8) loops....
