Description
Summary:This text discusses data from a research that investigates the proposal of education reform, whose assumptions relate to the deepening of militarization, which, in turn, opens the doors to the outsourcing of public schools in the State of Goiás. From the theoretical and methodological point of view, the research was developed from the perspective of historical-dialectical materialism, using documentary sources. We dialogue with authors who have chosen the centrality of education in capitalist society to achieve our main objective of understanding the aspects underlying the educational reform proposal, entitled Pact for Education, established by the government of Goiás in 2011, in harmony with the precepts of the neoliberalism. This analyzes point to the fact that, behind the rhetoric of raising the quality of education and to combat violence and indiscipline, this educational reform imposes an educational policy that destroys the social and political sense of the public and free school, placing it at the service the interests of the market and order.
