| Summary: | On the centenary of Icilio Guareschi’s death, an exhibition was held in Turin (20 December 2018 - 28 February 2019). It illustrated the research carried out by the chemist at the University of Turin not only in the fields of chemistry and history of chemistry, but also the contributions he gave to the restoration of ancient manuscripts destroyed by the national university library fire in 1904 and to the gas masks designed for the defense of the military during the first World War.
