Description
Summary:This paper discusses contributions of biographical approaches to an understanding of the process of professionalization of music teachers licensed in other area of knowledge that have become music teachers. To that end, it presents the methodological paths adopted in a piece of research presented in the form of a PhD thesis, which strategy was based on narratives of professionalization, carried out with ten school teachers. The data interpretation signals that to take the professionalization as a narrative constitutes a way in which the process of production of teachers’ subjectivity and their mobilization in the context can foster further discussions and other insights in the field of music teachers’ professionalization.
