Modern medical and social assessment of such children and assigning them disability category «disabled child» play a special role in the process of medical and social rehabilitation. A medical and social analysis is made to identify causes of disability in children suffering effects of severe craniocerebral injuries. Recommendations on how to improve the process of assessment and rehabilitation of disabled children are made.
