Characterization of the diethyl phthalate-degrading bacterium Sphingobium yanoikuyae SHJ
A newly isolated bacterial strain SHJ was found to be capable of degrading diethyl phthalate (DEP) very efficiently. Its growth characteristics and 16S rDNA gene sequence were analyzed.
