| Summary: | On behalf of the Editorial Committee members, we are pleased to present the first issue of Tajseer, the peer-reviewed journal of Ibn Khaldon Center for Humanities and Social Sciences published by Qatar University Press (QU Press).
Tajseer publishes original research papers, critical book and article reviews, and various reports and briefs in interdisciplinary studies. The journal aims to challenge the limited approaches of isolated scientific disciplines by opening the disciplinary boundaries and bridging the gap between social sciences and Islamic studies. This allows for a better understanding of different concerns related to the Arab and Islamic world, in addition to helping resolve outstanding intra-regional issues.
