Description
Summary:Dating back to human history, the migration phenomenon works in various aspects since the demographical, economical, political, psychological, anthropological and sociological contents play a distinctive role. The international migration process that has evolved with many social dynamics within the globalising world order has been ongoing in our country with changes in terms of quality and quantity. Most of the migrations to Turkey are from border-neighbour countries or from far countries of Asia and Africa. Taking responsibilities from international texts in European Union harmonisation process, Turkey had to redesign its policies concerning foreigners and reinforced its legal infrastructure by passing the “Law on Foreigners and International Protection” in 2013. In this study, the place of Turkey in international migration mobility along with the local applications and outlook of the rights of asylum seekers is scrutinised within a sociological perspective on Isparta city sample.
