Description
Summary:To illustrate the effects of potassium-deficiency stress on biomass, agronomic traits and physiological indexes of switchgrass, a sort of bioenergy crop, and to obtain the cultivar with best tolerance, 13 switchgrasses were treated under potassium-deficiency in hydroponic ar-tificial climatic chamber. The comprehensive evaluation was made through the analysis of evaluation indexes using standard deviation coeffi-cient allocation weighed method. The results indicated that: the potassium-deficiency stress had exerted significantly inhibitory effects on the aboveground and belowground growth of switchgrass, including the reduction of growth rate, decrease of chlorophyll content, reduction of ef-festive photosynthetic area, decrease of photosynthetic rate, which led to the lower biomass production. The tolerance of 13 switchgrasses from strong to weak was as follows: Cave-In-Rock, Trailblazer, BJ-5, Forestburg, BJ-4, Pathfinder, BJ-3, BJ-2, Blackwell, Alamo, BJ一1, BJ-6 and Kanlnw
