Summary: | Our investigation focuses on the dissemination of the Revolutionary War Doctrine (counter-insurgency) elaborated by French officials during the decade of the 50 and its diffusion through very popular novels as those of Jean Lartéguy from the beginning of the 60s. This approach allows to consider that military doctrine in its most relevant aspect that is "win hearts and minds" of the populations. The paper, based on the hypothesis of a very notable influence of the novels on several generations of Argentine military personnel, is more specifically interested in the reception in Argentina by a litter of soldiers identified in the 80 as the carapintadas, trying to investigate part of their political imaginary through these novels, showing the obvious parallels between some of his actions and the work of Lartéguy.
