Summary:The article is aimed at allocating key elements of evaluation of potential and forming the mechanism for adaptation of the organizational-managerial system of enterprise to changes in the market environment, which would facilitate an improving of the adaptive management of enterprise and its breakthrough to a new quality level of development. The concept and essential features of adaptive management of enterprise are considered. The content of the category of «adaptive potential» and its key elements are defined. For each element the criteria and methods of its evaluation for application in the system of integrated assessment of the potential of adaptation of the organizational-managerial system of enterprise are characterized. The sequence of formation of mechanism for adaptation of the organizational-managerial system of enterprise to changes in the market environment is developed, its basic components are defined, and interrelation between them is determined. Implementation of the proposed approaches to adaptive management will significantly improve the quality of managerial decisions and the ability of the organizational-managerial system of enterprise to adapt to changes in the external environment.
