Summary:Introduction: The bulling has adverse consequences in the life of aggressors and attacked students. There is increasing interest in observing if it is present in university environment. Objective: To identify if there is bullying in the students of the psychology program of a public university in the city of Santa Marta, in the north of Colombia. Methods: The type of design used for this research was non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional study, carried out in a sample of students of both genders enrolled in second to ninth semester. Results: 195 students participated, in which, the verbal maltreatment was present more than other types of bullying, without differences by gender. Equally, it was observed that in both genders, the dimension of the physical maltreatment was the less present, followed by the psychological maltreatment. Equal presence of bullying was observed in all the semesters. Conclusions: Presence of bullying between psychology students of a Colombian university was observed, being the most present dimension the verbal maltreatment. Rev.cienc.biomed. 2014;4(2):281-286.
