Cordierite Ceramics Synthesized Based on Husk Silica as Electrical Isolator Material

Cordierite ceramics have been synthesized using husk silica with the sol-gel method. The resulted Cordierite is in powder form and then pressed it in the form of pellets. Description
Summary:Cordierite ceramics have been synthesized using husk silica with the sol-gel method. The resulted Cordierite is in powder form and then pressed it in the form of pellets. Then, sintering the Pellet for 6 hours at a temperature of 1000ºC, 1200ºC, and 1400ºC. To determine the structure of materials, Cordierite is characterized using XRD and DTA. Finally, measuring the electrical resistance of Cordierite to get the value of the resistivity. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji tahanan sehingga dididapatkan nilai resistansinya. Kata kunci: coerdierite, silika, sintering.
