Marxismo e Freudismo: Dessemelhanças e Semelhanças Epistemológicas

This paper proposes to analyze and compare the research programs created by Marx and Freud. We draw on some epistemological passages at specific points within the nucleus of both of these programs. Without the intension of retelling the long and rich history of this dialogue, we will limit ourselves to hashing out some considerations concerning functional structures, and the ways in which both authors see the world. In light of a critical analysis of Althusser’s approach, we compare his so-called theoretical mentors over specific points such as the question of the individual, social classes, and dialectical considerations.
