Description
Summary:This paper analyzes the relationship among art, literature and work in the context of the neoliberal economy. It starts thinking about the idea of supplement from the George Bataille's philosophy and the concept of art in the high modernism, taking on the debate about the link between art and life as postulated by the historical avant-garde. The aesthetic and literature experience proposed by Vik Muniz, Marcelo Cohen, Joao Gilberto Noll and Carlos Ríos raises the issue of what art and literature do with the ruins of capitalism and the garbarage that it produced, and how art reinvents the world of labor. Fiction is a space of articulation of precarious lives that generate an universe where life is affirmed and where it creates communal forms among those communities that were expelled of the circuit of labor.
