It was done under a qualitative-descriptive approach.We applied a test named “insomnia instrument measures”. ISI (Insomia Severity Index) with their respective correction and interpretation of the kind of insomia and its values. There were 300 students in the initial simple, but only 97 were taken as study objects. Subsequently, we made another test to these subjects for the purpose of knowing in which areas they were having problems. The results established that the cognitive processes and the information processing of the individuals are affected by sleep deprivation, which it was producing negative progressive changes in these functions.
