Among the various factors of monitoring, self monitoring (internal monitoring) and maternal monitoring (an external monitoring) were selected and their effectiveness was compared. Therefore, a pretest- posttest with control group design was used. In order to analyze the data, one-way ANOVA was used. The results indicated that according to mothers' reports, the group that was monitored by mothers compared to control group, showed significant reduction in ADHD symptoms. So, we can conclude that behavior monitoring skills training for mothers can be an useful intervention to reduce ADHD symptoms in children.http://jfr.sbu.ac.ir/article/view/196آموزش مهارت‌های نظارت بر رفتار، راهبرد خودنظارتی، اختلال کمبود توجه ـ بیش‌فعالی.
